Daywatch

Watching the morning come.

It rises from behind the trees, fluid and casual as if just waiting to be.

Birds are flapping about in flight - no worries just delight.

A fish jumps and splashes unware of its plight.

The river is melting in gold,

while clouds in pink hues dance in the sky as the day unfolds.

A manatee decides to surface, gliding gleefully - what a sight!

Watching as the waters glisten,

quiet and very much aware:

All of this is happening just because God cares.
